Northline Systems is a small, independent infrastructure practice.

We help keep modest services online: a few servers, a handful of domains, and the operational habits that make them boring in the best sense. Most of the work is maintenance, documentation, and removing the clever parts that nobody can debug later.

The notes on this site are written for ourselves first. They describe what has worked, what failed, and the small decisions that turned out to matter.
